Siemens Government Technologies to Provide Electronic Security System Maintenance & Support for National Security Operations on Florida’s Space Coast

Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) today announced a competitive win to continue its electronic security maintenance and support for national security operations at Cape Canaveral, FL, under a new task order award from the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville. If both option years of the task order are exercised, the contract is valued at $22.6 million.

SGT’s work scope includes the maintenance and service of integrated Electronic Security Systems (ESS) and physical security components at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Patrick Space Force Base supporting Space Launch Delta 45, the Naval Ordnance Test Unit and Strategic Weapons Ashore, and other government agencies.

The new task order extends vital security systems work SGT has been honored to perform on the Space Coast for well over a decade. SGT has an established track record of applying Siemens’ deep portfolio of building automation, utility monitoring and control systems and enhanced security systems at military installations around the world and continues to deliver a range of services inclusive of heating, ventilation, chiller/boiler controls, utility metering, and automated controls, as well as fire alarm, protection, and electronic security. All work under the current task order is enabled by the Utility Monitoring & Control Systems Fifth Generation multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract vehicle, affording government customers a streamlined procurement and implementation path for access to comprehensive services for installing, maintaining, and upgrading industrial control systems including HVAC, utility metering, ESS, and force protection measures.

“Our team at the Cape has continuously demonstrated exceptional focus and commitment for their role in servicing critical security systems relied on by the national security organizations that call Cape Canaveral home,” said John Ustica, president and CEO, Siemens Government Technologies. “This newest task order affirms our customers’ confidence in the work we’ve done – and will continue to do – in support of their missions of national consequence.”
