UNITED STATES, September 28, 2026 — Beside™ makes its U.S. debut with the Weighted Sleep Hood, a new sleep accessory that moves beyond the conventional weighted eye mask. Its continuous hood extends coverage across the eyes, ears and crown while carrying the fit and distributed glass-bead weight in the same wearable form. The result is a more enveloping way to block light, settle against a pillow and rest—built around how the sleeper actually moves.
That distinction matters when a head meets the pillow. A side sleeper can press a strap into the head or lift an edge enough to let light in while turning onto one side. Tightening the fit may improve its hold while adding pressure. Beside designed the Weighted Sleep Hood around this familiar trade-off, bringing coverage and fit into the same form.
At the heart of the Weighted Sleep Hood is Beside’s most decisive departure from the conventional sleep mask: fit is carried by the hood itself. A closed crown and stretch fabric create a continuous wraparound hold from crown to cheek, while the curved lower edge follows the nose and face. Sizing by head circumference lets each wearer choose their fit. There is no separate rear strap to cinch between the head and pillow.
The hood carries its weight through the same continuous form. Approximately six ounces of glass-bead fill sit in a series of small sewn compartments throughout the form. Each compartment holds its fill in place as the wearer moves, giving the hood its distinctive, evenly distributed weight.
The finishing touch is a reversible two-surface design. One side is soft-brushed and plush; the other is smooth and cool to the touch. Both can face inward, allowing the hood to shift with the feel of the night while its fit and weight remain the same.
Beside was founded on a simple premise: sleep products should adapt to the conditions of rest, rather than ask sleepers to keep adapting to the product. Rest should ask less of you. The Weighted Sleep Hood translates that idea into a wearable form—drawing on familiar gestures of comfort: shielding the eyes, pulling the covers closer and settling into something soft.
